Aggregate Standard Statistical Returns (SSR) – non-bank financial institutions (NBFI)

The figures in both versions of the aggregate NBFI SSR are the aggregate of each data cell of the survey returned by the surveyed institutions. The Excel template (1,458 KB) incorporates an “Administration procedures” tab that specifies completion directions and a “Help” facility with series definitions. This group of respondents does not complete the full range of data cells required of registered banks.

The SSR nonetheless obtains relatively comprehensive balance sheet data from respondents. Balance sheet figures reported conform to generally accepted accounting practice. In particular, values may be at book or ‘marked to market’ according to appropriate practice for the instruments involved. Data from two of the NBFI respondents contribute to the monthly Money and Credit Aggregates tables C1 to C4, C9 and C10. Data subsets from all NBFIs providing SSR data contribute to tables C5 and C6.
