It is 50 years since Bill Phillips, iconic Kiwi economist, prisoner-of war and inventor, changed the world's view of the relationship between inflation and unemployment. In July 2008 Reserve Bank Governor Alan Bollard delivered two public lectures celebrating the life of this unique and remarkable New Zealander.
