Biography:

Tim is currently an Economic Analyst in the Forecasting team, focusing on the household sector. Tim has also had responsibility for analyzing business investment and the labour market. Prior to joining the Economics Department, he worked in the Financial System Policy team, within the Bank’s Prudential Supervision Department. Tim joined the Bank in late 2007, after completing an Honours degree in Economics and Finance at Waikato University. 

Current research interests:

• Issues relating to the household sector, particularly forecasting consumption expenditure and residential investment
• Monetary policy
• Forecasting the demand for currency
