Biography:
Lynda joined the Bank in April 2008 as a Senior Research Analyst. She had
previously spent four years as a policy analyst at the Ministry of Economic
Development. She recently completed her MPhil at the University of Waikato, on
the ongoing mobility patterns of New Zealand and UK migrants to Australia, and
also has undergraduate degrees in Japanese, Economics and Linguistics
(Canterbury) and a BCA(Hons) in Economics (Victoria). Lynda is currently
working towards a PhD on “International Engagement and Performance of New
Zealand Firms” through the University of Waikato.
Current research interests:
- The determinants and consequences of exporting, foreign ownership and
international engagement at the firm level.
- Trans-Tasman Migration
- Microeconomic analyses of firm performance and behaviour, particularly
using Statistics New Zealand’s prototype Longitudinal
