Results

The national winners were announced on Thursday, 3 September 2009. The winners were selected by the judges on the strength of the reasoning they present for their Official Cash Rate decision at the national final, held in Wellington on 3 September.

The winning team will travel to Wellington to spend Thursday, 10 September 2009 at the Reserve Bank to be special guests of Reserve Bank Governor, Alan Bollard, as he delivers the Monetary Policy Statement and see firsthand how economic theory is put into practice.
